NEXKNOS: Nirmaan Expo and Knowledge Sessions to be Held in September

Nirmaan Expo, the most prestigious exhibition in Southern Rajasthan focused on building construction and interior decoration products, is set to take place on September 27, 28, and 29, 2024, at Shubh Kesar Garden, Udaipur. Since 2018, this event has been a continuous annual occurrence, featuring both exhibitions and seminars based on architecture. This year, as in previous years, around 400 architects, engineers, and interior designers from Rajasthan and Udaipur are expected to participate, along with approximately 25 renowned professionals from across the country.

According to the event organizer, Mrs. Kanchan Sharma, accommodation arrangements are being made for professionals coming from other cities, following the principle of “Atithi Devo Bhava” (Guest is God). Professor Dr. Hanuman Prasad, Director of the College of Architecture at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, mentioned that their institution will continue as the educational partner for Nirmaan Expo in 2024, just as they did in 2023.

Faculty member Architect Apoorv Ajmera shared that students of architecture, interior design, and engineering will manage the entire event, including seminars and arrangements for visiting professionals. The college prepares the complete outline of the three-day program and oversees its execution.

Kamlesh Sharma highlighted that Nirmaan Expo has become a prominent pillar in Udaipur, focusing on architectural education. Free entry is provided to every professional and student related to the seminar topics. Although the event’s expenses often exceed the budget, no tickets are sold, and this will remain the case, as commercializing education would be an unfortunate event for society. The event is funded by Udaipur’s local businesses and various companies from across the country, who also showcase their products in the exhibition, attracting professionals and the general public from the Udaipur division.
